Doesn't matter if you were by a speeakr or not those concerts are so loud, it can cause permanent damage even with hearing protection on. Depending on how long the concert was and how much protection your earplugs gave you, there may still be damage. If you get any sort of fullness in your ears or feel like you can't hear as well, you've caused permanent damage. The ringing often accompanies the hearing loss sustained at these concerts. I'd see if you can get better earplugs for the next time and try to only keep yourself in the noise for 2-3 hours. Any more than that, and it's too much of the toxic levels for too long.
